Dear Millennial,
Hang in there.
A recovering fundamental,
An oppressive nightmare.
Hold tight when you’re at the end of your rope.
With less of you there is more of God.
Not the God at church camp with a light show,
But the one you intuitively know.
Eden split us apart and the church should put us together,
But you and I both know it only made us more disconnected.
I have no quarrel with Christianity.
Only how it is presented.
You’re not alone when you’ve lost what’s most dear.
Only then can you be fully embraced.
Anxiety loves structure and I know that it’s real.
To suffer is to allow and you must integrate.
Be content with just who you are—no more, no less.
There are some things that cannot be purchased.
You have to become a better parent than your parent was,
And learning from a mistake means that it wasn’t one to begin with.
Dive into your inside world and align your heart and mind.
Then, you can see God in the outside world.
Focus your energy on the inner world and support will arrive.
Outer world rules don’t apply when it comes to your inner core.
Love your enemies and let them bring out the best in you.
For then you are working out your true, God-created self.
Your enemies are not villains in movies but internal points of view.
You’ll then love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.
Live out your God-created identity.
Live the way God lives toward you with graciousness.
The Kingdom of God is not a romance but a state of consciousness.
God is not a concept, but an experience.
